She said that In Kind urgently need donations from retailers and manufacturers so that more families do not have to decide whether to eat, heat their homes or be clean this Christmas.

“This Christmas, 81 percent of our charitable network said the demand for their services has increased, and over 75 percent of indicated that toiletries, personal hygiene and household cleaning products are the most needed as we approach the end of the year,” she said.

“The universal credit cut, rising energy bills and end of furlough have undoubtedly impacted living standards for vulnerable households so we are urgently calling on more businesses to donate the real Christmas must-haves and be a lifeline for people this winter.”
