R&B singer Ashanti turns 41 years old in a few weeks – and her body still looks as good as ever. But MTO News has learned that many of her followers are pointing out that her stomach – and in particular her belly button looks different.

The gorgeous R&B singer’s belly button is shaped like a long slit – which is a tell tale sign of a tummy tuck.

During a tummy tuck operation, the skin and fat just below the skin of the entire abdomen is elevated off of the muscle layer. An incision is made around the belly button so that it is left attached to the abdominal muscles.

The rectus or 6-pack muscles are then, usually, sutured together, then the excess skin is cut off , a hole is made for the belly button and all of the incisions are closed.

But the belly button often looks unusual after a tummy tuck – like a slit, instead of a more natural looking button.
