All Pokémon That Can Be Transferred To Scarlet & Violet From HOME

[ad_1]

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s connection to Pokémon HOME is arriving this Spring and all the new creatures that will be transferable between the game and service have seemingly been leaked through datamining. Though this has not yet been officially announced or even confirmed by publisher Nintendo or developer Game Freak, datamining has been a reliable source of information regarding the Generation 9 games. Players were able to know that Charizard and Greninja, for instance, were in the game’s source code even before their respective limited-time Tera Raid events.

By analyzing the new games’ source codes, data miners have already figured out that a few of the franchise’s fan favorites will be transferable from Pokémon HOME to Scarlet and Violet and vice-versa. These include the regional Alolan variant for Raichu, for instance, and even a few Legendaries in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that are not originally available in Paldea. Many beloved starter Pokémon will also be added through the game and service’s compatibility, though a few, like the Hoenn starter lines, are apparently not coming to Gen 9.

There are more than 130 Pokémon or forms that are not part of the regional Paldean Pokédex or not traditionally obtainable, but they will be transferable from Pokémon HOME to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Notably, there are Legendaries and Mythicals from the Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Galar regions, for example. As reported by Game Rant, fan favorites Diancie and Volcanion are making a return to the mainline series, while the Creation Trio from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina) are also back. However, some ordinary creatures steal the spotlight, like Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Hisuian version of Typhlosion or Ursaluna.

While it is possible to obtain a Johtonian Wooper in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, for example, only one is available. Even if it breeds with a Ditto, its offspring will be a Paldean Wooper. While some Gens and regions are more represented when it comes to transferable Pokémon from HOME to Scarlet and Violet, like Kanto, Unova, Kalos, and Galar, a few others fall on the short end of the list. Johto, Hoenn, and Alola have an underwhelming amount of creatures that can be used within the Gen 9 games, which may upset fans of those respective regions. However, it is expected that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC is on its way, further increasing the Pokémon available in the games, both old and new. An official announcement, nevertheless, has yet to be made.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s connection to Pokémon HOME will allow the games to have over 100 new Pokémon, considering alternative forms and creatures that are not obtainable in Paldea alike. While some regions may disappoint with a small list of Pokémon, it is a considerable feat that Scarlet and Violet will have almost half of all the creatures ever released in only two games. The Gen 9 games seem to replicate what Pokémon Sword and Shield did with Pokémon HOME, which saw 80 different Pokémon transferable to the Gen 8 games.

Pokémon Sword and Shield, however, had a different aspect: a DLC. Through The Crown Tundra, many Legendaries from previous Generations were brought forth with Max Raid Lairs, which put Trainers in a Max Raid session that led up to a Legendary that could then be caught. Until now, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC has not been announced, so obtaining these creatures will rely solely on Pokémon HOME’s transfer system. It is possible, however, that the DLC is on its way, either towards announcement or actual release.

With a release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, it’s fair to consider that the Gen 9 games will get more Pokémon. This happened with both Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra expansions for Sword and Shield, and can easily be the case with Scarlet and Violet. The new games have been an outstanding commercial success, despite the major criticisms regarding their technical quality. As such, it’s possible that Nintendo tries to make Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s lifespan longer than previous Generation’s. The main way to do that is by giving players Pokémon to catch, even if they are older ones or transferable from Pokémon HOME.
