Deavan Clegg took a trip down memory lane, but after re-watching her 90 Day Fiancé scenes, The Other Way star realizes how traumatizing the show was.

Deavan Clegg recently re-watched some of her old 90 Day Fiancé episodes, and it made her realize how “traumatizing” appearing in the franchise really was. The mom of one debuted on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1, in which she was already several months pregnant with her second child. Deavan planned to move to South Korea to be with the baby’s father Jihoon Lee, but things did not go as planned. Jihoon proved himself to be an unsupportive partner, and Deavan eventually returned to the United States with both kids, leaving Jihoon behind.

In a recent Instagram Q&A, a 90 Day Fiancé fan asked Deavan how she was doing, and the mom replied, “I’m in a weird mood right now.” Deavan revealed that she “watched back” her scenes from The Other Way, and the re-watch had a profound effect on her. “Coming to the realization of how traumatizing it was,” Deavan continued, adding she has “scars” from her time on the franchise, though she didn’t specify whether those were physical or mental scars.

However, despite how devastating her time in the franchise was, Deavan is still able to think about the positive results. “I’m also thankful for the opportunities I now have because of [the franchise],” she added. Though Deavan has complained about 90 Day Fiancé producers and editors twisting her story, it’s true that appearing on the franchise gave her a bigger platform than she would otherwise have. Deavan has been able to make money through adult modeling on OnlyFans and on Cameo, where she charges fans $45 for a personalized video.

Given how much Deavan has been through in her life, particularly in recent months, it’s notable that she considers her time in the franchise “traumatizing.” Deavan is currently struggling to keep her son Taeyang healthy after he was diagnosed with a form of cancer called, b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Taeyang has sadly been in and out of the hospital, and all the while Deavan balanced taking care of Taeyang with taking care of herself while pregnant with her third child. It’s fair to say that the mom of three has been under intense stress lately, which might make one think that the trauma of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise would pale in comparison. However, the fact that Deavan still experiences trauma as a result of filming the show proves that her experience was extremely negative.

Deavan isn’t the only 90 Day Fiancé star to regret appearing in the franchise, as there are several former cast members who have spoken out about their time on the show. Some complain that they were severely underpaid by TLC, while others are more upset at the network for manipulating their storylines and besmirching their character. For every franchise success story, it seems there are an equal number of former 90 Day Fiancé stars who regret ever signing their TLC contract.
