How Black Krrsantan Can Return In Star Wars’ Future

[ad_1]

Despite The Book of Boba Fett being his live-action debut, Black Krrsantan has a future secured in the Star Wars franchise thanks to the comics.

WARNING: This article contains SPOILERS for The Book of Boba Fett episode 2.

Despite The Book of Boba Fett being his live-action debut, Black Krrsantan has a bright future ahead of him in the Star Wars franchise as there are a number of ways he can return. The character has made prominent appearances in the Marvel comics that have been implemented into the canon. His appearance in The Book of Boba Fett now shows that he has a future beyond the comics.

In The Book of Boba Fett episode 2, Black Krrsantan makes a brief appearance alongside the Twins, a sibling pair of Hutt crime lords who are cousins to Jabba The Hutt and looking to reclaim his palace on Mos Espa from Boba Fett. From what is seen, he is acting as the muscle and enforcer for the Hutt Clan Twins. At one point, Boba Fett refers to him as a “gladiator.” This is a nod to both Krrsantan’s past as an actual gladiator as well as the history shared between him and Boba under Darth Vader’s employment.

Despite his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett episode 2 being relatively short, it’s clear that Black Krrsantan has a major role to play in the show going forward, likely being set up as one of the main antagonists alongside the Hutt Twins. It’s even possible that he will eventually work alongside Boba Fett if the two share a mutual respect that outweighs their differences. Beyond his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett leaves the potential for the character to make a number of appearances in other Star Wars properties, the most notable being the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Black Krrsantan in The Book of Boba Fett

As mentioned before, Black Krrsantan worked under Darth Vader for a time during the Original Trilogy era. This leaves the perfect opportunity for the character to feature as an antagonist in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series should Vader choose him to hunt down his former master. It’s already canon that Krrsantan and Kenobi did, in fact, come into conflict with each other during the latter’s exile on Tatooine. After acquiring Obi-Wan’s journals following A New Hope, Luke Skywalker learned that the Jedi engaged in a duel with the Wookie bounty hunter after Jabba the Hutt sent him to kill Kenobi and enforce his water tax on the Lars family, taking Star Wars‘ Owen Lars as a hostage. In the ensuing altercation, Kenobi blinds Black Krrsantan in one eye. Even if Vader has nothing to do with the two coming into conflict, it’s certainly likely that this particular encounter will be adapted into the Kenobi series, leaving an optimistic prospect for Krrsantan’s future.

Overall, Black Krrsantan’s addition in The Book of Boba Fett is a welcome sight for fans of the character as well as Star Wars as a whole. The idea of a character making the transition from comic to television leaves the franchise with exciting possibilities about who can appear next, such as the well-loved character Doctor Aphra. Either way, Black Krrsantan’s future is surely one to look on with great interest.
