Prince Harry Could Spill MORE Royal Secrets In Additional Chapter Of Spare When Paperback Is Released! – Perez Hilton

It seems Prince Harry has more to get off his chest!

The Duke of Sussex’s first book Spare has done so well since its release last month, that a paperback is no doubt headed to bookstore shelves sometime soon, and with it might come new royal gossip! According to sources who spoke with Page Six on Saturday, the prince could add a bonus chapter to the book’s paperback release, despite the fact he’s said he won’t write a sequel. An insider shared:

“Prince Harry is already planning to add at least one new chapter… to the paperback version… out later this year or early next, when the hard cover sales have ended.”

Oooh! He must have something important to share if it’s worth adding a new chapter!

The source believes the additional chapter could be used as an opportunity for Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to open up about their feelings amid royal backlash after the premiere of their Netflix doc and the tell-all, they suggested:

“Readers are eager to know [Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle’s] feelings about the royal backlash they have suffered after the airing of their Netflix doc, and the publication of Spare.”

At this time, there have been no official details about a paperback release just yet. Penguin Random House published the hardcover version and audiobook on January 10, so it’s likely that nothing new would come for a while. The memoir has broken records as the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time, so they don’t want to rush to get a cheaper version of the book out just yet. That said, when Page Six got in touch with the publisher to hear their thoughts on the possibility of the 38-year-old getting more candid in a reprint, they vehemently denied the reports, saying in an email:

“That’s not true.”

Hmm.

To be honest, it really wouldn’t be very surprising if Harry did want to add something new. After all, that’s a great way to get more people to purchase the book again! And he’s already been honest about how much he had to leave out of the first edition. While speaking to The Telegraph last month, Harry said that his initial draft for Spare was 800 pages!! Half of that staggering word count was left on the cutting room floor. Some of the things deleted will never be shared with anyone else to protect his (estranged) relationship with his brother Prince William and father King Charles III, he explained:

“It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.”

The Archewell founder continued:

“There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know… Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”

Jeez. Whatever he deleted must have been seriously bad because the many allegations he did include pretty much destroyed his family dynamic anyway. Yowza!

There’s certainly a ton for Harry still to dig into — especially recent incidents like the South Park scandal. Considering the paperback would likely come out later in the year, that also leaves time for Harry to write about his father’s coronation, too! Whether or not he attends in May, we’re sure he’ll have some thoughts — and we know the whole world wants to hear ’em! It would be the perfect opportunity! Would you like to see Harry open up more in the paperback? And if so, what are you dying to hear him write about next? Sound OFF (below)!
