Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, are leaning on their faith in God as their prison sentences loom.

After being dealt with 12-year and 7-year sentences for their fraud convictions amid a court hearing on November 21, Todd, 53, and Julie, 49, took to their podcast, where the Chrisley Knows Best stars opened up about their upcoming sentences for the very first time.

“Age is just a number, and since we don’t know our death date, we have to live every day as if it’s our last,” Julie said on the November 30 episode of Chrisley Confessions, referencing a quote from Priscilla Shirer, via Us Weekly.

“Yesterday doesn’t matter. Today is what we have. Tomorrow belongs to God because we’re not promised tomorrow,” Todd agreed. “What God calls us through, he will walk us through.”

Julie, who married Todd in 1996, said that despite their devastating circumstances, she and her husband are leaning on their faith as they prepare for the start date of their sentences next year.

“God will call you to do something, and he’ll equip you to do it. He’ll give you what you need to do it,” Julie explained. “The difficulties I’m going through, how I handle it — [my kids are] watching that as well. If I handle it right, they’re watching, if I screw it up, they’re watching, and so, for me as a parent, I want to try to make sure that I do it right more than I do it wrong because I know they’re watching, and I know it will prepare them for difficulties, unfortunately, that they will have later in life.”

Todd and Julie share three kids, including Chase Chrisley, 26, daughter Savannah Chrisley, 25, and son Grayson Chrisley, 16. And, in addition to his younger children, Todd also shares two older children, Lindsie Chrisley, 33, and son Kyle Chrisley, 31, with ex-wife Teresa Terry, the first of which discussed their prison terms, and the way their holidays will be impacted, on the November 30 episode of her podcast, The Southern Tea.

“Obviously, with everything going on with my family, things just look a lot different this year,” Lindsie said, via E! News, adding that one particular Instagram message recently left her “bawling.”

“‘While it may be the merriest time of the year for some, it’s the saddest, loneliest, most stressful, most heartbreaking for so many others,’” it read. “‘We’re all busy, but we’re not too busy to be kind, caring, and patient. Remember, the best thing that you can give someone right now is love.’”

According to Lindsie, the holidays will be a “transitional time of year,” not only due to Todd and Julie’s looming sentences but also because of her co-parenting challenges with ex-husband Will Campbell, the father of her 7-year-old son Jackson. So, when it comes to the events of the end of the month, Lindsie is already “ready for it to all be over.”

“I’m ready for it to be a new year,” Lindsie admitted. “There’s been so many things that have gone on that I’m just kind of over it and ready to start fresh and to have a nice little break.”

“I feel like you kind of have to put on a front in a sense of like, ‘Okay, everything’s good, and everything’s happy,’ and like, ‘We’re gonna have a good time,’” she added. “And you have all these real-life things that are going on outside of that.”
