Portugal boss hits out at Cristiano Ronaldo for World Cup antics

The build-up to Portugal’s last-16 tie has been swarmed by speculation over Ronaldo’s potential move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. However, Santos added that he believed the iconic No 7 is entirely focused on securing World Cup glory with his nation.

He responded: “I haven’t spoken to him about this [his club future]. We had a conversation with the players, but I didn’t even know about this. I just heard about this when I arrived here. That’s his decision, that’s what he has to deal with, and we are very focused here on the World Cup and his team, and that we spoke about.”
