Akamai: web application attacks on the gaming industry increased 167% YoY from May 2021-April 2022, and 37% of all DDoS attacks were against the gaming sector  —  Akamai said the growing value in gaming has attracted more criminals seeking to disrupt online games and steal valuable player accounts.
