CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police Supt. David Brown is holding a press conference Wednesday morning to provide an update on the department’s public safety efforts and recent investigations.

The briefing at Chicago Police headquarters comes after two recent mass shootings left a total of one person dead and ten wounded in the Back of the Yards neighborhood and in Jackson Park on the South Side.
