Man riding Bronx subway to work beaten and choked by hate-filled stranger who screamed ‘F— you, Mexican’

A man riding a rush hour Bronx subway train to work was beaten and choked by a hate-filled stranger screaming ‘F— you, Mexican,” police said Wednesday.

The 23-year-old victim, who is Hispanic, was sitting on a Manhattan-bound No. 6 train approaching the St. Lawrence Ave. station when he was attacked about 9:20 a.m. Nov. 20, cops said.

The assailant punched the victim in the mouth and face without warning, then put him in a chokehold and punched him again.

Police released surveillance images of a man who authorities said attacked a 23-year-old Hispanic straphanger in the Bronx on his way to work.

“F–k you, Mexican,” the assailant, who is Black, screamed before running off, according to police.

The victim took himself to a local hospital.

Cops released surveillance footage of the suspect Wednesday and are asking for the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
