Starting Thursday, Dec. 1, Bremerton Fast Ferry will operate more sailings.

“One of the many scars of the COVID-19 pandemic was a wholesale reduction in service by transit agencies, and we, like others, are still navigating a path toward a new normal,” John Clauson of Kitsap Transit said.

Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry schedule

Kitsap Transit will expand the Bremerton Fast Ferry service until Washington State Ferries restores two-boat service on the Seattle/Bremerton route, which will fill in the gaps in the current schedule.

“That restoration is likely to be trialed in Spring 2023. Kitsap Transit has reached an agreement with the state under which the state will fund the additional fast-ferry sailings on the Bremerton/Seattle route. The temporary expansion begins on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022.” -Kitsap Transit

Weekday commuters will have their pick of four round trips in the morning with three round trips in the evening.

Commission says ferry fuel surcharge is now up for discussion

Saturday passengers will notice one additional morning run and six later in the day.

Ferry service between Bremerton and Seattle experienced cutbacks during the pandemic because of staffing shortages.
