Japan silence protesting Germany in World Cup upset

Japan have stunned Germany with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at the World Cup in Qatar.

While the Germans shone the light on what they called FIFA’s silencing of human rights issues in Qatar pre-game, their opponents grew in strength as the match went on.

Second half goals from substitutes Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano in the last 15 minutes allowing the Samurai Blue to record a famous win.

More to come.
