India reports 1,946 Covid cases and 10 deaths in last 24 hours | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday reported 1,946 Covid cases and 10 deaths. With this rise, the death toll in the country has reached 5,28,923. The 10 deaths reported on Wednesday included 6 fatalities reconciled by Kerala.

The country’s active caseload currently stands at 25,968. This is 0.06 per cent of the total cases. With 2,417 recoveries in last 24 hours, the recovery rate remains somewhat constant at 98.76 per cent. The total number of patients who have recovered from the disease so far are 4.40 crore.

The daily positivity rate is 0.75 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 1.10 per cent. The country has conducted 89.91 crore Covid tests so far, of which 2.60 lakh were conducted in the last 24 hours.
India administered 219.41 crore Covid vaccine doses, under the nationwide vaccination drive. Of this, 94.97 crore are second doses while 21.92 crore are precaution doses.
