Supreme Court orders removal of 2-finger test from study material in medical colleges | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday said the 2-finger test on rape survivors “retraumatises” the sexually assaulted woman, and ordered for it to be removed from study materials in all medical colleges.
The top court court contended that the said method was “unscientific and invasive.”
On the basis of the new observation, the court also overturned an acquittal order of a high court and sentenced a man to life imprisonment for a rape and murder case.
