Brit Leon Edwards brutally KO’s Usman at UFC 278 to become UK’s second UFC champ

LEON EDWARDS is Britain’s second UFC champion following a stunning victory over pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman.

The Jamaican-born Brit ended the Nigerian Nightmare‘s dominant reign over the welterweight division on Sunday morning in the main event of UFC 278 in Salt Lake City.

Edwards, 30, stopped the Nigerian Nightmare with a stunning Hail Mary head kick with two minutes left in the fifth round.

Rocky was brimming with confidence ahead of the fight, telling SunSport: “He’s good in what he does, he does basic things but he does it very well. And that’s why he gets victories.

“But for me, I’ve got it all. I’ve got the striking, the grappling and I’ve got the jiu-jitsu. I’m ready.”
