Trump spent nearly $1M of donor money at his own properties: report

Former President Donald Trump has plowed nearly $1 million in donor contributions into Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago and his other properties in the two years since he left office, a new report said Thursday.

The cash injections were made through Trump’s various political committees — including the Save America leadership PAC and the Make America Great Again super PAC — from the day the 76-year-old left office in January 2021 through the end of last year, a HuffPost analysis of new Federal Election Commission filings shows.

Trump Tower, the 45th president’s longtime Manhattan digs and headquarters for his 2016 campaign, has been the biggest recipient of Trump committee spending — receiving a total of $412,958, according to the analysis.

That total, which was paid in monthly $37,542 installments over an 11-month period, was described in the FEC filings as “rent.”

A second Big Apple property — the Trump International Hotel on Central Park West — received a total of $336,218 in donor contributions.

Meanwhile, in Florida, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and estate obtained $137,272 in funds from various PACs — including payment by his 2024 presidential campaign for two $48 tabs at the property’s social club on Nov. 18, 2022.

The campaign also dropped just over $1,100 at the nearby Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on Dec. 12, 2022, the analysis shows.

Trump’s office didn’t immediately respond to The Post when asked Thursday about the donor contribution spending.

The analysis comes after the Save America PAC started raking in contributions from supporters after Trump claimed the 2020 election was rife with voter fraud.

Despite vowing to use the contributions to “stop the steal”, Trump’s committee spent almost none of the money on lawsuits or inquiries linked to the stolen election claims.

Trump has also faced criticism from fellow Republicans for only giving tiny amounts to GOP candidates ahead of the Nov. 8 midterm elections.

Last year, Save America — which is registered to fund other campaigns and not Trump’s own — transferred some $60 million to a pro-Trump Super PAC group, which is expected to support his latest bid for the White House.

Still, FEC financial disclosures released last month showed that Trump’s third consecutive presidential run was off to a sluggish start donation-wise.

Unlike other cash-heavy years, Trump’s Save America fund only had about $18 million at the end of 2022, while his own campaign ended the year with about $7 million on hand.
