Plot
Six complete strangers with widely varying personalities are involuntarily placed in an endless maze containing deadly traps.

Verdict
This is a movie with a strong idea and not much else. Six people are in a strange prison subjected to twisted physical traps and the mental abuse they inflict upon each other. Despite it’s shortcomings if you like mind bending movies that are weird and harsh, this is a must watch. It’s not for everyone, and the limited budget certainly constrains it, but the strength of the idea is undeniable.
It depends.

Review
This is a movie that rides a simple idea the entire run time. It’s certainly a budget movie, but if you like mind trip movies this one is a lot of fun. I saw it years ago, because if a movie is labeled as a mind trip I’m going to check it out.

Maurice Dean Wint, Nicole de Boer play Quentin, Leaven

I love how this opens. A man wakes in a strange looking cube. Each wall has a door and each door opens to another cube the same size and general look. We quickly learn some of these cubes are booby trapped.

These people are trapped in this strange prison. They don’t know how they got there or why. They try to move through these cubes despite the traps looking for a way out and a link between them that would explain why they’re trapped together. There aren’t many answers in this movie.

Wayne Robson plays Rennes

With such an intense situation and strangers in close quarters, tensions run high. Quentin (Maurice Dean Wint) is the self proclaimed leader. It’s clear he’s not all he seems, and with each cube they pass he becomes more unhinged. Between him and the number of near miss accidents, it seems likely they all won’t make it out.

The sheer size of this prison structure defies logic. Does it matter? No. This idea is so intriguing. It’s physical and mental torture, a prison that attacks you from all angles. With no resources, if a cube or a human doesn’t kill them time surely will.
