r/netflix – Dungeon Dwarves Ability Softlock

For anyone who has a problem with being softlocked when the game introduces you to abilities (like I just did):

These instructions are mainly made for Android, but the general process should be possible on iOS. Also, I’m not a mod, so if something breaks, not my fault.

Also, steps 1-3 get you access to read and edit your save file, so if you want to do some cheating, this will help a lot.

1. Close the game. Do not open it until you are done so it doesn’t modify your save.

2. Download a JSON editor app. I prefer this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vibo.jsontool But, honestly you can use any text editor you want if you wish.

3. Open the save data in the JSON editor/text editor. On Android, it’s in Android/data/com.netflix.NGP.DungeonDwarves/files/save/(B64 ID)/NewSave.json

(B64 ID) is a random name. I assume that there are multiple folders if you sign in with multiple profiles, so you should choose the most recently updated file (as long as you were the last one logged in).

On iOS, you should be able to find it by going to iTunes on a computer, opening the app and going to files/save/(B64 ID)/NewSave.json

However, I have not tested this at all. (I don’t own an iPhone) 4. Search for “IsAbilityEnabled” and set it to false. 5. Save the file. 6. ??? 7. Profit!
