Haemin Jung had stayed silent in the midst of controversy over the final of the show. Some people questioned if the final game had mechanical problems or if there was a remarch based on awkward and questionable edits.

However, Haemin Jung finally broke his silence and revealed that he was indeed made to play the final multiple times. First, the opponent and producers claimed that there was a mechanical error and paused the game. At this point, according to him, Haemin was winning by magnitude difference. The producer then tried to convince Haemin saying things like "we have investors to satisfy and we have to make the show more presentable" (translated). Haemin said he felt peer pressured as hundreds of production crews were watching him and waiting.

He agreed for a rematch. After a while, he started winning by a lot again, and then the producer paused the game, claiming they had an "audio issue." Then, the producer made Haemin play the game again.

On the third game, Haemin finally lost with a small margin. After that, Haemine said that he accepted the result of the game and got an assurance from the producer that he would show the rematches and what had happened.

Haemin said that he thought everyone would be better off if he kept just silent as so many things were on stake. And, he didn't want to bring any negative engagements or hates to other participants and the producer. But, he changed his mind after seeing the inerview of the producer saying "lies can never be the truth" regarding the controversy.
