Destiny 2 Xur location and items, April 30 – May 4

[ad_1]

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur in the Tower, standing on the back stairs of the Hangar.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Arbalest, Kinetic linear fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Graviton Forfeit, Hunter Helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Astrocyte Verse, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Mk. 44 Stand Asides, Titan boots: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher quest: free

Xur’s items drop at a similar power level as your character.

Arbalest

Arbalest is the Exotic from 2019’s holiday event, The Revelry. Its Exotic perk is Compounding Force, where the weapon deals bonus damage to shielded enemies. It also buffs itself after destroying an enemy shield.

Arbalest is unique in many ways. It’s the first ever Kinetic fusion rifle, and is an amazing tool for removing shields (usually something reserved for Energy weapons). This weapon isn’t the most impressive Exotic out there in everyday use, but it is very powerful in niche situations.

Graviton Forfeit

Graviton Forfeit is a Hunter helmet from Curse of Osiris. While it looks like a returning exotic from Destiny, its exotic perk, Vanishing Shadow, is completely different in Destiny 2. This perk increases the length of your invisibility skills, and causes your melee ability to recharge quickly while you’re invisible.

Graviton Forfeit is actually very powerful with the new “Way of the Wraith” tree, and will keep you invisible for a very long time. If you like being sneaky, pick up this helmet.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 65 total stats.

Astrocyte Verse

Astrocyte Verse is a Warlock helmet from Season of Opulence. Its Exotic perk is Move to Survive, which increases Blink frequency, distance, and weapon ready speed after blinking back into existence. Your radar also stays active while you Blink. This Exotic is completely situational — depending on whether you like the Warlock’s Blink jump ability. Blink can be very powerful in PvP, making this helmet a must-have for Crucible Warlocks.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 60 total stats.

Mk. 44 Stand Asides

The Mk. 44 Stand Asides’ main perk in Destiny 2 is Seriously, Watch Out. If Titans have Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped and have max health, they get an Overshield when sprinting at max speed. Striking an enemy with those abilities quickly recharges your melee energy. This perk is great for aggressive Titan players, especially in PvP. If you have a Titan, pick these up.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
