Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is coming to Nintendo Switch in October

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will be coming to Nintendo Switch on Oct. 12, Nintendo announced on Thursday during its Nintendo Direct.

The cult popular RPG, developed by ZA/UM is set in a crumbling city, where you play as an alcoholic cop — now acting as a detective — searching for clues. Over the course of the game, players reveal the poisoned ideologies that led to the city’s ruin. Though that’s just the tip of the iceberg — there is no way, of course, to capture the confounding and contradictory elements of Disco Elysium’s world, in a post this short.

The Final Cut — the definitive version of the game — was initially released on March 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and PC. It replaced the game’s traditional menu map with a pen-and-ink illustrated graphic by Nicolas Delort, and added a number of additional quests. It also added in full voice acting.

As The Final Cut takes some 20 hours to play, without the side missions, bringing it to the Switch is the perfect opportunity for players who would rather take the game with them.

The game doesn’t yet have a release date for Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
