California Public Utilities Commission slashes rooftop solar subsidies for new customers

[ad_1] Dozens of angry homeowners and energy professionals called into a California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) meeting Thursday to demand that the commission reject an effort to dramatically cut the compensation owners of rooftop solar installations can make by selling excess power back to the grid.

This, however, failed to sway the five-member CPUC board from approving the new policy — a 200-plus page document updated less than two days before.
