CHICAGO (WLS) — A crash sends a pick-up truck flying over a Dan Ryan bridge at the Chinatown Feeder ramp early Saturday morning.

Illinois State Police said the two-vehicle crash caused the truck to jump the median wall and land near the CTA tracks below.

ISP confirms at least one person inside the pick-up was transported to the University of Chicago hospital where they were pronounced dead.

It’s not clear if anyone else was inside the truck or if anyone else was injured.

Alcohol is suspected to be involved, police said.

Northbound express lanes are closed from 47th street to the Chinatown feeder ramp. All traffic is being diverted to the local lanes at 47th street. The entrance ramp to the express lanes, from the local lanes, is also closed at 43rd street.

The expressway is expected to remain closed for approximately 2 more hours.

No charges have yet been filed.
