Chicago shooting: Douglas Park man ID’d after found fatally shot on West Side street

CHICAGO (WLS) — The man found fatally shot on Chicago’s West Side early Sunday morning has been identified.

Tomas Villa, 22, was dead between two vehicles in the 2700 block of West 18th Street in Douglas Park around 2:15 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

He was shot in the head and chest, officials said.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known.

There is no one in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.
