Child hit by vehicle in Albany Park

CHICAGO (CBS) — A child was struck by a vehicle in the Albany Park neighborhood Monday afternoon, police said.

Police said they were responding to an accident in which a child was hit by a vehicle at Pulaski Road and Wilson Avenue.

The child was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Officials said the child was a girl and a toddler, but her exact age was not immediately available.

The Chicago Transit Authority said Route 53 Pulaski buses were being rerouted around the scene.
