SoCal expected to dry out Sunday as storm system moves out of region

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Following a storm that has soaked the region, Southern California will dry out on Sunday and then start the work week amid mostly sunny conditions.

Monday and Tuesday will be pleasant, followed by a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening Wednesday.

In Los Angeles and Orange County on Sunday, look for a 50% chance of rain in the morning before partly cloudy conditions later in the day. The high temperature will be 62 degrees and the low will be 51.

In the valleys and the Inland Empire, expect a 50% chance of morning rain followed by an afternoon of cloudy skies. The high will be 59 degrees and the low temperature will be 49.

A 40% chance of morning rain is on tap at the beaches, where the high temperature will be 62. The low will be 53 degrees.

A 50% chance of rain is forecasted for the mountain areas Sunday morning, with up to 3 inches of snow at elevations above 6,000 feet. The high temperature will be 42 degrees and the low will drop to 25.

In the deserts, look for a 30% chance of rain in the the morning hours. The high temperature will be 54 degrees and the low will be 44.
