One person was killed and two more were wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon at a plant nursery in Southern California.

A 76-year-old man was arrested at the scene in Fallbrook, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. His name was not released.

The victims were not identified.

Cops responded around 3 p.m. local time to a shots-fired call at Atkins Nursery, about 45 miles north of San Diego, the county sheriff said in a news alert. Officers found three gunshot victims. All three were transported to a nearby hospital, where one was pronounced dead.

Police did not publicly speculate on a motive for the shooting.

“Our thoughts are with those impacted by today’s act of violence, and all the Californians recovering from tragic shootings this year,” the California governor’s office said. Already this year, mass shootings have occurred in the northern, central and southern parts of the state.
