Fantasy Billboard: Giddy Up! and Whoa Down! for Week 15

[ad_1]

You never know where the conversation will go when talking Fantasy Football at a New Jersey watering hole. I spoke with Jordan, a charter member of the Fantasy Football Tattoo League. Every year, the owners in this league submit a whacky tattoo drawing of their own design. At the end of the season, the league champ gets to pick from these tattoos, and the last-place finisher must go to an ink slinger and get it tatted on. That is a brutal punishment. To date, Jordan has escaped the tattooist and is still a cleanskin. His biggest cheerleader is his girlfriend because she’s dreading the day he loses. Good luck to Jordan. As we look at our Giddy Ups! and Whoa Downs! for the Week 15 Fantasy Playoffs, now more than ever make sure to check the NFL injury reports before submitting your lineups.

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott, QB — Dak had his lowest point total (19.7) since Week 7 in the Cowboys’ last second win over the feisty Texans. But it’s time to unleash the hounds. Dak will need to score a lot against a Jacksonville team that just put up 36 points on the Titans.

Kirk Cousins, QB — Cousins only has one game with three TD passes. This might be the week he does it again. You attack Indy through the air. It should be a good day for Cousins owners in Fantasy land.

Najee Harris, RB — You drafted Najee in the first round. You didn’t trade or cut him through his ho-hum season. Now comes the reward for your loyalty. The Seahawks inexplicably chose not to run the ball against the lowly Panthers D, costing them the game. The Steelers will not make the same mistake. Harris will shred the Panthers for his first 100-yard game of the season.

Isiah Pacheco/Jerick McKinnon, RBs — I’ve been saying it all season long. The Texans have the worst run defense in the NFL. Houston has given up 80 or more yards to 12 different RBs, along with 16 rushing TDs. Zeke Elliott had 17 points and Tony Pollard had 22 last Sunday.

Mike Williams, WR — I was skeptical of Williams’ return last week from the high ankle sprain he re-injured in Week 11. But Big Mike filleted the Dolphins for 116 yards and a TD, looking uncoverable. Start him with confidence at home against the Titans.

Michael Pittman, WR — The Vikings can’t play pass defense, as evidenced by the Lions wideouts gaining 273 yards and 3 TDs against them last week. In an air war with Minnesota, Pittman will remind us he is one of the NFL’s best WRs.

George Kittle, TE — Kittle has dashed Fantasy owners the last three weeks. Now that WR Deebo Samuel is out, Kittle’s target share should increase. Seattle is that last stop before dumpsville for good old George.

Aaron Rodgers, QB — I am concerned. Rodgers has a broken thumb, some bruised ribs and is coming off a bye. The Packers play the Rams. Why trot out Rodgers for an entire game in this meaningless contest? I can see backup QB Jordan Love getting some playing time.

Geno Smith, QB — If you have Geno, you probably picked him up early in the season and rode his coattails to the playoffs. You’ll be on a ride out of contention if you think Geno will succeed against the 49ers.

D’Onta Foreman, RB — Foreman bruised his way to 70 yards last Sunday but put him on the shelf vs. Pittsburgh. You can start him again the following week against the Lions.

Alvin Kamara, RB — Here are Kamara’s point totals the last five games: 9.2, 7.5, 12.9, 11 and 5.7. Don’t you have someone better on your bench?

Drake London, WR — London might succeed with new QB Desmond Ridder, but Week 15 is not the time to take a flyer.

Courtland Sutton, WR — He missed last game with a pulled hamstring but now gets an enticing matchup vs. the Cards. If he’s active, resist the temptation. Starting players with a bad hammy is courting disaster, especially in the Fantasy Playoffs.

Cole Kmet, TE — The Eagles haven’t surrendered a TD to a tight end since the unknown Teagan Quitoriano scored back in Week 9. This looks like a 4-catch, 30-yard, zero TD game for Kmet.
