A man walking outside Manhattan’s Union Square Park was slashed with a boxcutter in an unprovoked attack from a stranger, police said Tuesday.
Cops released surveillance footage of the suspect and are asking the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
The 35-year-old victim was slashed in the back on Union Square West near W. 15th St. about 9:40 a.m. Monday, cops said.
The attacker ran off east on E. 16th St. without ever saying a word.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
