‘Mitzvah Tank’ vandalized in second such attack in NYC in recent months

A Jewish educational and outreach center on wheels was vandalized — the second such attack within the past few months — police said Monday.

The “Mitzvah Tank,” which was parked on Broadway near Prince St. in SoHo, was targeted around 4:15 p.m. Feb. 2, according to cops.

A Jewish educational and outreach center on wheels was vandalized for the second time in a span of several months, police said Monday.

A vandal scribbled the word “Palestine” on the side of the truck — an attack identical to one last year.

On Oct. 28, it was reported to police that someone had written the same word in graffiti on another Mitzvah Tank vehicle, which offers mobile classes, holiday events and prayer, among other services.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating both incidents.

NYPD released a photo of a person wanted for vandalizing a Jewish educational and outreach center on wheels.

Last year, the five boroughs saw 261 reported incidents of anti-Semitic hate crimes. The complaints resulted in 69 arrests, according to NYPD data.

Police released photos of a suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
