A 61-year-old bouncer was in critical condition Saturday morning after he was sucker-punched during a clash outside a Chelsea nightspot, police said.

The victim was on duty near Ninth Ave. and W. 29th St. about 3 a.m. when the unidentified suspect socked him in the face, cops said.

The bouncer fell back and struck his head on the pavement, police said. EMS took him to Bellevue Hospital, where he remained in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The man who attacked him ran off. No arrests have been made.

Cops were scouring the area Saturday looking for surveillance video that could help them identify the assailant.
