Pedestrian standing on Queens parkway fatally struck by multiple drivers

A pedestrian standing on a Queens parkway died after being struck by an SUV driver and then run over by several other drivers early Sunday, cops said.

The victim was struck standing in an eastbound lane of the Grand Central Parkway just before the exit to the Long Island Expressway when he was hit about 3:15 a.m., cops said.

The woman behind the wheel of the SUV who initially struck the victim stayed on the scene but several other drivers who ran him over after he was down kept on going, police said.

The victim’s body was so badly mangled cops initially couldn’t determine his gender. Police were working to identify him.
