Snoqualmie Pass closed in both directions

The Washington State Department of Transportation reports Snoqualmie Pass is closed in both directions from North Bend to Ellensburg.

Heavy snow, icy conditions, and spinouts have forced the closure.

The pass is closed eastbound from milepost 34, and westbound at milepost 106 near Ellensburg.

No word when the pass will reopen.

KIRO Newsradio reporter Micki Gamez says Stevens Pass is also closed in both directions.
