Greens support ‘very clear statement’ NRF will not fund coal and gas

Greens Senator David Shoebridge says it is good news Parliament has passed a “very clear statement” where new coal and gas projects will not be funded by the National Reconstruction Fund.

“We don’t need any new gas, to meet the short-term transitional needs for our own electricity market,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News Australia.

“We are open to creative ways of getting to same goal of keeping coal and gas in the ground.”
