A home in the heart of the Hawkesbury is expected to sell more than three times its original price after being flipped by a designer wife and husband.

The five bedroom and three bathroom property at 12 Observation Close in North Richmond was purchased by sellers Sarah and Jayden Jobse in October 2015 for $825,000.

Listed via Ray White’s Cindy Cash, the 2,495 sqm property has been made recently available for sale with a $3m price guide.

The property is up for auction with a $3m price guide.

The property was designed, built, and decorated by Sarah and Jayden via their styling company Oak and Orange over the past few years.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Mrs Jobse said the property had been purchased as a vacant block of land and took four years to complete.

Mrs Jobse said the pair were looking to move from the North Richmond property to seek out their next project and a bigger space.

Every few years, the pair buy a new home and then completely renovate it.

“Since 2010, we’ve probably built about 25 homes across NSW. These are predominantly vacant blocks of land, as we prefer having blank canvases on which to construct a property.”

“The final design of this home looks nothing like what we had in mind originally. The diamond shaped block of land ended up lending itself to the eventual U-shape design, we also made the most out of our taste for resort-style properties.

“We knew we wanted the property to take in a view over the Hawkesbury at the foot of the Blue Mountains, we’ve enjoyed living here with our four kids. They all love the outdoors and we want a larger space – around 10 acres – to focus on our next home.”

A range of luxury features are included with the property.

The North Richmond home features a range of luxury items, including tropical gardens, a suspended concrete bridge and a fishpond.

The home brings to mind properties seen in Hollywood with its resort-style inclusions such as a fireplace, an outdoor kitchen, and a saltwater swimming pool.

“We believe we’ve built a property completely unique for the area, we would love to see another family move in and enjoy the place like we have.”
