Pakistan’s Red Crescent Delivers Aid to Areas Affected by Deadly Earthquake

A magnitude-5.9 earthquake hit Harnai, Pakistan, on October 7, killing at least 15 people, local officials said. The Red Crescent was delivering medicine, blankets, tents, sleeping bags, and other necessities to the areas affected in Balochistan. “Red Crescent is devotedly active in helping the people in afflicted area, our relief teams are vigorously serving our people in this time of calamity,” said Pakistan Red Crescent chairman Abrar Ul Haq. The earthquake hit the Harnai district in the Balochistan province around 3 am local time on Thursday, the Balochistan Provincial Disaster Management Authority said.
