Sydney celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

The Sydney Harbour Bridge will be illuminated royal purple this Thursday in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The bridge, along with several other Sydney landmarks including Luna Park, will shine purple from 9pm for seven minutes - representing the Queen's seven decades of service.

Sydney Harbour ferries will sound their horns to kick off the synchronised light show, which is running as part of Sydney's annual Vivid light festival.
