Ahead of the Blue Jays taking the field against the Seattle Mariners for playoff baseball, Twitter Canada revealed which Jays had Twitter accounts with the most traction.
Cam Gordon, Twitter Canada’s head of communications, said last year’s American League MVP runner-up Vladimir Guerrero led all Blue Jays in mentions. Game 1 starter Alek Manoah was second, followed by breakout all-star catcher Alejandro Kirk, outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and third baseman Matt Chapman.

Surely shortstop Bo Bichette would get a ton of mentions, but he doesn’t appear to have an active Twitter account.

Gordon also noted the Jays placed fifth in Major League baseball amongst team accounts in Twitter mentions in 2022.
Toronto was behind the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets.
The Jays had more Twitter mentions in 2022 than any other Canadian professional team, 12% more than the second-place Toronto Raptors.
Toronto’s 28-5 win over Boston on July 22 was the most tweeted Jays game of the season (so far).
