Rogers Centre security tackles children who ran on field

Unless you’re running the bases as part of the Jr. Jays program don’t go on the field at Rogers Centre. Period.
A couple of young Jays fans found that out the hard way recently when they decided to rush onto the field during a game against the Houston Astros.
It happened last Friday, when a couple of kids, believed to be approximately 11 years old, somehow got away from their parents in the sixth inning.
Security quickly tracked them down and even laid out one of the kids with an NFL-worthy tackle.

Social media reaction was swift, though opinions were split about how to lay the blame. Some blasted the parents for letting it happen; others took issue with security treating children like fully-grown trespassers while others lamented that it happened while the Jays were mounting a rally, which fizzled out after the incident.
