I’m a cleaning expert – one 97 cent item leaves my laundry stain free

A TIKTOKER shared a laundry hack that could save people hundreds of dollars.

User @sarahebaus showed off her most recent Walmart purchase in a video to her over 320,000 followers.

In the nearly two-minute clip, she pulls out twelve bars of Fels Naptha Laundry Soap, which she says she purchased for 97 cents each.

“If you don’t know what this is, I’m about to put you on a bar of gold.”

She dubs the laundry bars “grandma’s secret to laundry,” and say that it is what she makes her laundry detergent with.

The user claims that she does not like spending up to $10 on bottles of traditional detergent.

By combining washing soda, borax and the laundry bars, @sarahebaus says she is able to create her own laundry detergent that costs less than $1.50.

“If you don’t have this, this is the secret,” she says, pointing at the bar.

“This is the secret for all your laundry.”

The video went viral with over 2.4million likes and 20,000 comments of people who have used the hack before or are seeing it for the first time.

“My sister put me onto this!” wrote one user. “Someone suggested this to her when her son had white baseball pants! SERIOUSLY THE BEST STUFF EVER!!!”

“Instant new best friend cuz [sic] I love this laundry soap, I used to make my own with that stuff,” wrote another.

“Where I live, the CHEAPEST laundry detergent is $15 so Imma show this to my wife,” wrote a third.

Others in the comment section warned that the bars could cause rashes to those with sensitive skin.

“Just be careful it’s cheap for a reason!” wrote one user. “No hate just letting people know if you have sensitive skin you will get a rash!”

Another argued that it probably wouldn’t “work as good” compared to normal detergent.

The poster wrote “No that’s okay! I like it better than traditional detergent but everyone is different!”
