Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has explained how the club’s players reacted to the news that manager Jurgen Klopp has extended his contract with the club.

And despite fans being overjoyed at the news, Alexander-Arnold says there wasn’t a “big celebration” among the club’s players.

The defender has insisted the squad will remain focused on their upcoming games despite the news of Klopp’s contract, saying it is “business as usual” for the players.

Salah’s transfer options

Mohamed Salah will be given the option of moving to Paris Saint-Germain or a Spanish club should he fail to agree a new contract with Liverpool, according to reports.

Salah’s current deal with the Reds is set to expire at the end of next season, meaning the club could cash in on him this summer. It has been claimed that Liverpool would be willing to sell if they can get a fee far exceeding the £43m he cost them in 2017 when he joined the club from Roma.

And he could head to PSG as Kylian Mbappe’s replacement should the Frenchman leave the Ligue 1 champions, or to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
