Anya Taylor-Joy Explains How She Got Ready to Play Princess Peach

Anya Taylor-Joy opened up about how serious her preparations are for her roles.

The 26-year-old The Queen’s Gambit star was cast as Princess Peach in the reboot of Super Mario Bros.

“So now I am a gamer, and it’s really fun,” Anya said of how she did her research for her role.

“Ideally, I like playing at arcades, because, again, it’s like cinema; I love the ceremony. I’ll go with a whole bunch of friends. And we’ll just spend hours at the arcade,” Anya told Modern Luxury SD.

The film also stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi.

Super Mario Bros. just revealed the first trailer ahead of its arrival in theaters on April 7, 2023.
