John James is being brought on board to play President Joe Biden in the upcoming Hunter Biden movie, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

British actor Laurence Fox, who is playing Hunter Biden, posted an image Monday that appeared to be from set where he is donning a white loin cloth, an orange scarf and sunglasses – and nothing else – in an outfit indicative of one of the photos found on the president’s son’s harddrive.

‘Everything is fine. I’m in a really good place,’ Fox sarcastically posted in the image from the set where he was holding up a peace sign alongside a woman in lingerie.

The film from conservative filmmakers and married couple Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney began shooting in Serbia this week.

‘The script has it all. Money, power, greed, sex, drugs, and alcohol,’ James said in a 39-second clip announcing his role.

‘It kind of reminds me of Dynasty,’ he said in a nod to his most notable TV role.

‘This is a common tale of a father’s ultimate love for his son, despite his major shortcomings,’ the actor continued. ‘My Son Hunter is an inside look at the world of politics.’

James, 65, is a veteran daytime soap opera star most known for his 1980s role of Jeff Colby in Dynasty, which ran from 1981-1989, and its spin-off series The Colbys, which ran from 1985-1987.

Most recently, James starred in 2020 film Axcellerator and will now take on playing the 46th President of the United States in a biopic about his son.

DailyMail.com was first to report last month that British actor and politician Laurence Fox will play Hunter in the film – portraying alongside James one of the most controversial father-son duos.

‘I’m especially excited to be working with a wonderful actor – Laurence Fox is going to be my son, Hunter,’ James said. ‘We have some interesting scenes together.’

In August, DailyMail.com reported that Bond villain and Goonies and Die Hard actor Robert Davi, 70, signed on to direct the biopic.

‘I saw in him a depth, sincerity and an extreme likability which I wanted for the basis of Joe Biden, a man who has for 40 plus years been at the forefront of American politics,’ Davi said of James joining the cast.

‘It is important to have an actor that can measure up to such an icon, while at the same time present an endearing quirkiness without falling into the trap of belaboring his apparent frailties. John James is that actor,’ he continued.

‘With John and Laurence, I think audiences will be riveted by Joe and Hunters relationship and come to understand the dynamics between father and son.’

The film is described by its makers as a way to ‘explore how Hunter Biden amassed tens of millions of dollars from foreign entities owned by oligarchs, and the controversial interactions between Hunter, his father and other members of the Biden family.’

McAleer and McElhinney, who are Irish filmmaker, are engaged in a crowdfunding campaign to fund the movie, which has already raised more than $1.6 million.

The budget for the film is $1.8 million, just $200,000 more than they have raised so far, and began shooting in Serbia this week and will go into November – lasting four weeks total.

The couple have written and produced several niche films mostly backed by crowdfunded efforts and specifically targeting conservative viewers. Two of their bigger films include ‘Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer’, which is a true crime drama based on abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell; and ‘FrackNation’, which addressed what they called misinformation about hydraulic fracturing or ‘fracking’.

McAleer said they are thrilled to have James joining the project to expose the ‘partying lifestyle and dodgy business practices’ of the president’s son.

‘Joe Biden is a complex character,’ McAleer explained. ‘At times he mumbles and stumbles but he also is one the longest serving politicians in Washington who has become very wealthy during his time in public service.’

‘John is the perfect actor to portray that complexity,’ he added.

'My Son Hunter' is a biopic chronicling Hunter's 'elitist party lifestyle, dodgy business dealings, family drama, and corruption'. The film was supposed to start filming this summer, but is still working on contracts with actors
