Elon Musk Seems to Suggest He Lost “Should I Step Down” Poll Due to Voter Fraud

Elon Musk has long drawn comparisons to Donald Trump, thanks to his:

But on Tuesday, the second richest man in the world took the “Huh, they really seem to have a lot of similarities” chatter to its “No they are truly the same person give or take a few billion” conclusion when he appeared to suggest that he would not abide by the result of his own poll asking whether he should resign as CEO of the company, claiming that the results were skewed against him due to—wait for it—voter fraud.

A quick catch-up in case you’re just tuning in and haven’t an earthly clue what we’re talking about: Over the weekend, Musk ran a poll on Twitter asking, “Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.” Then, like Donald Trump, he lost, big time.

But so far, Musk has yet to respond directly to the fact that a majority of voters want him out. He did, however, comment “interesting” in response to someone suggesting that it looks like bots may have voted in the poll and thrown the results to his would-be replacement. And, in a move that Donald Trump is no doubt kicking himself for not having thought of, announced that moving forward, only people who pay him can vote in Twitter polls.
