Frontier is set to offer ‘all-you-can-fly’ passes that offer unlimited trips for a year – but you can only book travel one day before departure

  • Frontier Airlines is set to debut a new ‘all-you-can-fly’ pass next year
  • The GoWild Pass will let people travel to any of its destinations 300 days out of the year
  • Flight confirmations, though, will only be available ‘the day before you take off’
  • The idea is to help the budget airline fill most of its unfilled seats
  • It remains unclear how much the passes would cost

Frontier Airlines is set to debut a new ‘all-you-can-fly’ pass next year that will let travelers journey to any of its destinations 300 days out of the year.

The budget airline’s new GoWild Pass is scheduled to make its debut next spring, according to aviation sites that acquired copies of the plan.

But those who sign up should be flexible as flight confirmations will only be available ‘the day before you take off.’

As a result, passholders could be booted off a flight if all the seats are booked by other passengers, according to SimpleFlying.com.

The passes will therefore will be ‘ideally suited for an adventurous soul who is flexible with scheduling,’ SimpleFlying.com says, and is perfect for ‘passengers who are looking for an experience, and do not particularly care where they visit.’

There is no word yet on how much these passes would cost, but The Points Guy reports that Frontier will offer ‘a limited number of passes… at a WILDLY discounted rate.’

The budget airline already offers a Discount Den membership, which gives passengers access to lower cost flights, and an ongoing Kid’s Fly Free promotion for just $60 a year plus a $40 enrollment fee.

However, it also charges for advanced seat assignments and full size carry-ons.

The idea of the passes, SimplyFlying.com reports, is to help the budget airline fill most of its unfilled seats.

Each seat that goes unfilled represents a potential revenue loss for airlines, as they could be filled by paying customers.

And in 2021, SimpleFlying.com reports, Frontier saw over 5,000 seats go unfilled — costing the company thousands of dollars in potential revenue.

Anyone who is interested in signing up for the GoWild passes could join a list of potentially interested customers.
