Heather Rae El Moussa Has Been Put on Bed Rest Due to Sciatica Nerve Pain

Selling Sunset‘s Heather Rae El Moussa, who is currently pregnant, has been put on bed rest after her latest doctor’s appointment.

Last week, Heather updated her fans in a now-deleted Instagram Story saying, “I just left the doctor just for a little checkup. Everything’s good with baby. I’m not doing very good. The sciatic pain is just unbearable. Worse than before. So [my doctor] wants me resting, laying down, which is hard for me as you guys know. But obviously the most important thing is feeling better and taking care of the baby.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, pain from the sciatic nerve generally impacts the “low back to the buttock and the back of a thigh and calf…The pain can vary from a mild ache to a sharp, burning pain. Sometimes it can feel like a jolt or electric shock.”

She is “getting close” to her due date but added that “there’s still some time. So I have to do what’s best.”

“I’m hoping this goes away soon but I definitely cannot feel this for the rest of the pregnancy,” she added.

On Sunday (December 25), she provided another update.

“Happy holidays, everyone. We just finished opening presents with the kids. I cleaned up because my OCD kicks in with all the wrapping paper,” she said. “My sciatica is on another level. I’m in so much pain and so I came up to rest {and] lay on the bed [with] a heating pad.”

Heather Rae appears to have celebrated the holiday with husband Tarek El Moussa and her stepchildren Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7.
