[ad_1]

Henry Cavill has no plans to return to The Witcher after his Superman exit.

With the next Superman movie focusing on a young version of the DC Comics icon, Henry Cavill is departing the DC Universe. Despite losing his role as Superman, Cavill won’t be returning to the hit Netlfix series The Witcher, as reported by Variety.

Henry Cavill left The Witcher back in October, following his Superman cameo in Black Adam. Cavill was believed to have exited The Witcher due to his commitments to the DC Universe, but Heroic Hollywood has heard that the actor simply felt that it was time to move on from the series after the end of his three-season contract.

Liam Hemsworth is replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia for the fourth season of The Witcher. The third season of the series debuts on Netflix in Summer 2023, making the end of Cavill’s multi-year run as Geralt.

Last night, Amazon announced that Henry Cavill is developing a Warhammer 40k universe for its streaming service. The British actor also has a number of other projects lined up, including Argylle, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and the Highlander reboot.

The first two seasons of The Witcher are currently available to stream on Netlfix. Based on the series of books by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and developed for television by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher also stars Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey.
