Hugh Jackman is getting ready to reprise his role as Wolverine for Deadpool 3.

Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman has shared a new photo from one of his workout sessions for his role in Deadpool 3, showing off his impressive physique for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The 54-year-old actor is returning to the role of Wolverine for the first time since 2017’s Logan, but is he looking absolutely jacked. Check out the photo below.

Hugh Jackman first brought the character of Wolverine to life in 2000’s X-Men and went on to play the role for 17 years, appearing in a total of nine films. Despite being 54, Jackman continues to maintain an impressive level of fitness, and the training photo is a testament to his dedication to the role.

The first two Deadpool movies were produced by 20th Century Fox before the studio’s acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. Deadpool 3 is being written as the first movie in the series set within the Marvle Cinematic Universe, with Ryan Reynolds once playing the Merc with the Mouth.

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
