Karan Soni Set To Voice Spider-Man India In ‘Across The Spider-Verse’

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has found its Spider-Man India in Karan Soni. The news was first reported by One Take News, confirming that the actor is lending his voice talents to the role of Pavitr Prabhakar, also known as Spider-Man India.

Karan Soni is best known for his roles in the Deadpool franchise and the television series Miracle Workers. He has also appeared in movies such as Safety Not Guaranteed and Office Christmas Party. With his versatile acting skills, Soni is sure to bring a unique flavor to the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man India is a popular character from the Marvel comics. Created by Jeevan J. Kang, Suresh Seetharaman and Sharad Devarajan, Pavitr Prabhakar is one of the first Indian superheroes to be introduced by Marvel and has a loyal following among fans. In the comics, Prabhakar gains his powers after finding a mystic amulet that gives him the powers of a spider.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to Into the Spider-Vese, whcih introduced audiences to a new dimension of the Spider-Man universe, where multiple Spider-People from different universes join forces to save the multiverse from destruction. The movie received widespread critical acclaim for its stunning animation, engaging storyline and memorable characters, winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham, Across The Spider-Verse also features the voice talents of Jake Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jason Schwartzman, Rachel Dratch, Shea Whigham and Jorma Taccone. Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Christina Steinberg are producing the upcoming movie alongside Lord and Miller, who also worked on its predecessor.

The Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse synopsis reads as follows: “Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga… After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.”
